DEPENDENCY & NEGLECT
Ty began his Guardian ad litem (GAL) practice with a multi-disciplinary law office. While there, he partnered with social workers to advocate for the best possible supports and services for the children they represented. He uses this experience to bring appropriate treatment modalities to each individual child and family. He believes, with the proper advocacy, the court's resources can be used to create a better life for families and their children.
TRUANCY
Ty is currently the appointed Guardian ad litem (GAL) in Cherry Creek School District truancy cases. He advocates for the best interests of students to seek change in their lives to overcome obstacles to education.
JUVENILE DELINQUENCY
Ty's goal in every delinquency case is to successfully navigate his clients, and respective families, through all stages of proceedings. His experience includes appearing in hundreds of juvenile cases throughout Colorado. Courts across the nation have noted that children's development and maturity is vastly different than adults. Ty believes a good advocate can persuade the court to pursue an avenue of rehabiliation and mitigate punishment no matter the outcome at trial.
CRIMINAL DEFENSE
Ty has represented hundreds of clients including minor misdemeanors, municipal ordinance violations and felonies. He believes that the most effective representation begins with strong advocacy at the earliest stages of proceedings.
Ty has taken over 30 cases to trial and is convinced that a client should never settle when they believe they are wrongfully accused.
